About the Position:
Our client, a Midwest-based national law firm, is seeking a consumer finance lawyer with 5+ years of compliance/regulatory experience to join its Chicago office as a Senior Associate or Senior Counsel. The person in this position will work primarily in the firm’s national Consumer Financial Services Practice which counsels a range of clients, including auto finance companies, installment loan companies, private equity companies, state and national banks, credit unions, mortgage lenders, brokers and servicers, credit card companies, and short-term lenders.

Responsibilities:
· Counsel a range of clients on federal and state consumer credit laws, including the Dodd-Frank Act, ECOA, FCRA, FDCPA, GLBA, RESPA, TILA, TCPA, EFTA, CLA, and state unfair and deceptive practices acts
· Assist clients with evaluating consumer financial marketing materials, policies, procedures, disclosures, and other documents for compliance with banking and credit laws

Required Qualifications:
· 5 or more years of experience providing regulatory and compliance advice to consumer financial products and services clients
· Excellent academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base compensation or this position is $225,000 – $275,000.
