About the Position:
Our client, an international leader in the food and pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a corporate attorney to join as Corporate Counsel in its far west suburban Chicago office (hybrid, 2-3 days). The person in this position will manage procurement contracting, with a heavy emphasis on construction related/capital project procurement (engineering and design contracts, construction contracts, equipment purchase contracts, etc.), as well as assisting with compliance and privacy initiatives, supporting M&A transactions, employment matters, and any other legal needs that may arise. Target candidates will have 5 or more years of general corporate experience in a law firm or in-house environment, preferably 3 or more years in-house at a global organization. Capital projects/Construction procurement experience is strongly preferred. Local candidates only – no relos.

Required Qualifications:
· 5-10 years of experience in a law firm or in-house
· Procurement and capital project (construction) contracting experience
· Experience in or with the pharmaceutical industry is a plus (supply or purchase of supplies to or from pharma companies)
