About the Position:
Our client, a global law firm and leader in the renewable energy space, is seeking a real estate attorney with renewable energy development experience to join it’s Chicago office as a Counsel. This position will focus on representing leading renewable energy clients in a wide range of property development matters.

Responsibilities:
· Advise on utility-scale renewable energy projects, particularly with site control and title insurance
· Counsel clients through purchases and leasing of real property
· Negotiate title insurance coverage, endorsement language, and survey specifics with title companies and surveyors
· Review title commitments and prepare closing instruction letters
· Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, letter agreements, and other real estate documents

Required Qualifications:
· 7 or more years of real estate experience, including strong experience with title matters
· Experience with renewable energy development preferred
· Exceptional writing skills

Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $275,000 – $300,000.
