We are working with a Midwest-based national law firm that has an immediate need for a corporate securities attorney to join its busy practice in Chicago as a mid-level associate. The attorneys in this premier practice group represent private and public companies and individuals from around the world as well as universities, sports teams, family offices, and governmental entities. Responsibilities:
· Advise clients on federal and state securities reporting and compliance, broker-dealer and investment adviser regulation, and stock exchange listing standards and compliance
· Assist with mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and general corporate matters
· Collaborate with attorneys across different practice groups and offices

Required Qualifications:
· 2 or more years of experience with federal and state securities law
· Experience representing reporting companies, broker-dealers, and investment advisers
· Strong knowledge of capital formation, securities reporting and compliance, broker-dealer regulation, and corporate governance
· SEC experience is a plus
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Strong academic credentials
