About the Position:
We are working with a full-service national law firm that has an immediate need for an energy attorney (2+ yrs) with regulatory experience to join its practice in Chicago as an associate. This multidisciplinary practice group has decades of experience representing developers, owners, and manufacturers across a range of industries with regulatory, litigation, and transactional energy and environmental matters.

Responsibilities:
· Represent clients in state regulatory proceedings, including rate cases, investigations, rulemakings, and retail energy approvals and compliance
· Work on solar incentive programs, power purchase agreements, community solar contracts, and retail energy supply agreements

Required Qualifications:
· 2 or more years of experience in energy regulatory matters, including state regulatory proceedings and retail energy approvals
· Previous experience with solar incentive programs, power purchase agreements, retail energy supply contracts, and/or community solar contracting is a plus
· Strong academic credentials
· Excellent research and writing skills

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $190,000 – $280,000.
