About the Position:
We are working with a well-known global law firm that is seeking a technology transactions lawyer with outsourcing and licensing experience (3+ years) to join its practice in Chicago as a mid-level associate. Responsibilities:
· Assist clients throughout the life cycle of projects – from RFPs to contract finalization to dispute resolution
· Handle issues involving large-scale outsourcing arrangements, including business process outsourcing (BPO) and traditional information technology outsourcing (ITO), as well as other licensing and technology procurements
· Structure, draft and negotiate complex technology agreements, including IP licensing, SaaS, hardware and maintenance agreements, distribution agreements, professional services agreements and marketing agreements
· Advise clients on licensing, distribution agreements, and issues related to AI, privacy and information security

Required Qualifications:
· 3 to 5 years of experience in technology transactions, with a focus on IP licensing
· Experience handling BPO deals, negotiating complex agreements including SaaS agreements, global purchase agreements, distribution agreements, professional services agreements and marketing agreements
· In-house experience preferred

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $235,000 – $365,000.
