About the Position:
We are working with an established midsize Chicago law firm actively seeking a litigation attorney experienced in financial services/creditors’ rights matters to join its litigation practice. This distinguished firm has strong Chicago roots and is dedicated to community service initiatives. The practice group represents more than 80 nationally and state-chartered banks.

Responsibilities:
· Represent financial institutions and secured lenders in commercial litigation matters, including workouts/restructurings and enforcement proceedings, contract disputes, and avoidance actions
· Provide advice on Uniform Commercial Code and compliance matters
· Draft and negotiate motions, pleadings, restructuring documents, and forbearance agreements
· Prepare and negotiate settlement agreements

Required Qualifications:
· 5 or more years of experience with representing banks in commercial foreclosure cases, bankruptcy matters, UCC sales, collections, lender liability and other creditors’ rights work
· Knowledge of creditors’ rights laws

Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $155,000 – $170,000.
