About the Position:
Our client, a prestigious Am Law firm, has an immediate need for a registered funds lawyer (4-6 yrs) to join as an associate in Chicago. This elite Chambers-ranked practice group represents a diverse client base in the U.S. and Europe that includes private equity sponsors, institutional lenders, and public and closely held companies.

Responsibilities:
· Counsel investment companies, investment advisers, fund sponsors and independent directors in all aspects of the fund business
· Advise clients on the creation and operation of registered open-end and closed-end investment companies, ETFs, and business development companies
· Advise clients on fund governance, regulatory compliance and a broad range of transactions involving funds and/or advisory organizations

Required Qualifications:
· 4-6 years of registered funds experience, including new fund launches, fund and asset manager M&A transactions, regulatory advice and independent board representations
· Strong academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base compensation for this position is $310,000 – $390,000.
