About the Position:
We are working with a Midwest-based national law firm with a large and established Chicago office that is actively seeking a data privacy/security attorney (healthcare industry preferred) to join its practice as an associate. This cutting-edge practice group handles a range of sophisticated maters including regulatory compliance and risk counseling, data governance and management, commercial transactions and contracting, issues related to digital technology, and incident response preparedness and mitigation.

Responsibilities:
· Advise clients on state and federal privacy law compliance as well as data protection, management, and security
· Assist with incident response
· Draft and negotiate agreements, including SaaS agreements

Required Qualifications:
· 5 or more years of data privacy and security experience
· Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts is preferred
· Familiarity with health care industry strongly preferred

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $190,000 – $265,000.
