About the Position:
Our client, a sophisticated global law firm, is actively seeking a transactional IP attorney (or corporate transactional attorney with a desire to transition into an IP practice) to join its Licensing and Transactions practice as a junior-level associate in Chicago. This innovative practice group assists clients in protecting their technology and realizing the full income potential of their innovations through intellectual property licensing.

Responsibilities:
· Handle licensing disputes, due diligence, copyright, trademark and patent infringement, and counterfeiting and diversion matters
· Work on enterprise technology transactions, including strategic IT and business process outsourcing, ERP licensing and implementation, and software licensing and SaaS agreements

Required Qualifications:
· 2-3 years of experience handling licensing disputes, due diligence, copyright, trademark and patent infringement, and counterfeiting and diversion matters OR relevant corporate transactional experience (M&A, corporate finance or IP licensing) and desire to transition to a technology transactions practice
· Experience working in a large law firm environment
· Strong academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $235,000 – $260,000.
