About the Position:
Our client, a top global law firm, has an active need for an experienced bankruptcy lawyer to join its practice in Chicago as an associate. This firm is a global powerhouse in the financial restructuring space and has assisted a range of client, including investors, creditors, and corporations, in some of the highest-profile restructurings and bankruptcy cases in the United States and internationally.

Responsibilities:
· Work on sophisticated in-court and out-of-court restructurings for institutional and private credit lenders and large public and private companies across a range of industries
· Draft and negotiate loan documents, core restructuring documents and pleadings, including plans of reorganization, restructuring support agreements, first-day motions, and other chapter 11 filings

Required Qualifications:
· 4+ years of experience representing lenders and debtors in restructuring matters, including out-of-court restructurings and workouts and complex business reorganizations (Chapter 11)
· Excellent academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $310,000+.
