About the Position:
Our client, an international law firm renowned for its market-leading work with tech and start-up clients, is actively seeking a compensation and benefits attorney to join it’s Chicago office as an associate. Attorneys in this practice are sought after by high-growth startups to public company boards and senior executives for their deep experience spanning executive compensation, ERISA, M&A-driven benefits, and complex regulatory matters. The group advises on the most sophisticated, high-impact issues across the full lifecycle of a company.

Responsibilities:
· Advise private and public company clients on all matters relating to executive compensation and employee benefits
· Counsel clients on equity compensation, executive employment agreements, bonus plans, severance and change-in-control agreements, and deferred compensation
· Advise on compensation and benefits matters in connection with mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, financings, and other corporate transactions
Required Qualifications:
· 3-6 years of executive compensation and employee benefits experience, including equity and executive compensation, proxy disclosures, employment and severance agreements, M&A, and IPOs
· Strong academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $260,000 – $390,000.
