Our client, an Am Law firm headquartered in Chicago, is actively seeking an attorney with 3-6 years of private investment funds experience to join its practice as an associate. The attorneys in this highly-regarded practice have experience in all types of investment company matters – from the start-up phase through ongoing management and regulatory issues. Responsibilities:
· Advise investment advisers and private investment funds regarding regulatory and compliance matters and federal securities laws, including the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Act of 1933
· Play a key role in transactions involving investment company reorganizations or mergers and acquisitions

Required Qualifications:
· 3-6 years of experience working with SEC-registered investment advisers and private investment funds on matters involving regulatory and compliance matters and securities laws, including the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Act of 1933
· Corporate transactional/M&A experience involving investment advisers/private investment funds
· Excellent academic credentials

Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $260,000 – $340,000.
