About the Position:
Our client, a national Am Law firm, has an active need for a patent prosecution attorney with experience in the life sciences field to join its Chicago office as an associate or of counsel (depending on experience level). This firm is recognized for its IP capabilities in the IAM Patent 1000 rankings and represents clients in a broad range of industries involving all aspects of IP rights.

Responsibilities:
· Draft and prosecute patent applications and conduct patent due diligence
· Prepare patent opinion letters
· Provide patent counseling to clients
· Collaborate with other practices in the firm to provide thorough services to life science companies

Required Qualifications:
· 7+ years of patent prosecution and life sciences experience
· A background in either life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or materials science
· Strong academic credentials
· Patent bar membership required

Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $240,000 – $360,000.
