About the Position:
Our client, a global law firm based in Chicago, is seeking a real estate attorney to join its practice as an associate in Chicago. This multi-disciplinary practice group handles all aspects of real estate issues including tax, corporate, finance, and litigation real estate matters, and works with some of the largest and most well-known companies in the world.

Responsibilities:
· Draft, review, and negotiate key transaction documents, including purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, and loan documents
· Support acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate assets and related financings and joint ventures
· Assist with real estate finance transactions
· Support commercial leasing matters, representing landlords and/or tenants
· Conduct and manage due diligence, including review/analysis of title, survey, zoning, environmental, and other documents
· Prepare closing checklists and coordinate closings with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel

Required Qualifications:
· 2-5 years of real estate transactional experience, including managing transaction documentation from signing through closing
· Experience working on complex commercial real estate purchase and sale, finance, development, leasing, and/or investment transactions, as well as title, survey, and zoning/condo review
· Strong academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $235,000 – $365,000.
