About the Position:
Our client, a global Am Law firm, seeks an associate to join its highly regarded Investment Funds Group in Chicago. The firm manages sophisticated matters for a diverse array of clients, including some of the largest private equity firms and hedge funds in the world.

Responsibilities:
· Advise fund sponsors and investment managers on fund formations, fund governance, and pertaining laws
· Assist institutional investors in with the structuring and terms of their investments
· Represents buyers and sellers of private fund interests in the secondary market

Required Qualifications:
· Proven track record establishing private investment vehicles including hedge funds, venture capital funds, and private equity funds
· Knowledgeable on laws regarding the management of private funds
· Experience preparing organizational documents for upper-tier management entities, along with bonus and carried interest arrangements

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range is $225,000 – $435,000.
