About the Position:
Our client, a nationally recognized plaintiff’s litigation firm, is seeking an experienced litigation brief writer to join its growing team as a senior associate or partner (title dependent on level of experience). This writing-intensive role focuses on high-profile institutional sexual abuse, government liability, and complex plaintiff-side litigation matters. Responsibilities:
· Draft and revise substantive motions, oppositions, demurrers, writs, trial briefs, and other complex legal filings
· Conduct sophisticated legal research and prepare appellate-quality briefs with minimal supervision
· Analyze complex legal issues involving government liability, personal jurisdiction, statutory interpretation, and institutional negligence
· Support discovery motion practice and prepare legal memoranda addressing evolving legislation and case law
· Collaborate with partners and litigation teams to develop case strategy across multiple high-stakes matters
· Manage multiple deadlines while delivering exceptional written advocacy
Required Qualifications:
· 3-10+ years of litigation experience (plaintiff-side personal injury, class action, commercial litigation, or other complex litigation experience preferred)
· Strong experience drafting substantive motions and briefs in state and/or federal court
· Familiarity with California civil procedure, government liability, or sexual abuse litigation is a plus
· California Bar admission is preferred but not required

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 – $200,000, depending on experience. The position also offers exceptionally generous performance-based bonuses.
