About the Position:
Our client, an Am Law 50 firm, is seeking an attorney to join its Corporate Practice in Chicago as an associate. The firm handles complex merger and acquisition matters for both public and private entities, including private equity.

Responsibilities:
· Counsel on mergers and acquisitions, including representing private equity buyers and owners of closely held businesses in acquisitions, investment and exit transactions
· Advise on and draft acquisition agreements and related documents for complex transactions
· Collaborate across practice areas and mentor junior attorneys

Required Qualifications:
· Three to five years handling public and private M&A deals, including private equity transactions
· Solid command of acquisition agreements and related deal documentation, with hands-on drafting experience
· Admitted to the bar in the State of Illinois

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $250,000 – $420,000.
