About the Position:
Our client, a premier national Am Law firm, has an active need for a fund formation lawyer to join the corporate practice in its Chicago office as an associate. The team advises buyout, real estate, private debt, insurance, and venture capital fund clients, along with funds of funds, providing legal guidance throughout the fund formation and launch process.

Responsibilities:
· Advise private and public companies, private equity funds, and business owners in a wide range of complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
· Represent institutional investors in the formation of private equity funds and their investments in private investment funds and funds of funds.
· Counsel on fund formation, regulatory matters, structuring, and securities issuance.

Qualifications:
· 5+ years of fund formation and private offerings experience
· Experience with M&A transactions preferred
· Strong academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $275,000 – $375,000.
