About the Position:
Our client, a top international law firm, has an active need for a privacy and data security attorney to join its Downtown Los Angeles office as an associate. The firm helps clients build risk-mitigated, scalable privacy and cybersecurity programs across industries, while standing ready to mobilize investigation and litigation support to contain breaches and defend clients when incidents occur.

Responsibilities:
· Help clients build risk-mitigated, scalable privacy and cybersecurity programs and data strategies to support new data products and services
· Guide healthcare, life sciences, financial services, consumer products, and other clients as they evolve into data-driven businesses, including resource benchmarking, transaction negotiation, and diligence on potential acquisition targets
· Mobilize rapid incident-response support during cyberattacks, working alongside investigation and litigation teams to contain breaches and limit client exposure
· Defend clients in data breach and privacy litigation, including matters brought by regulators and data protection authorities
Required Qualifications:
· Strong legal analysis and writing skills, along with solid academic credentials
· Experience with privacy litigation and consumer protection class actions is desirable
· Trial experience, including arguing before courts or arbitrators, is a plus
· Experience taking and defending depositions preferred

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $260,000 – $435,000.
