About the Position:
Our client, a large international law firm with a large and established Chicago office, is seeking a labor and employment attorney with strong employment litigation experience to join as an associate. This attorney will handle employment litigation matters in Illinois state and federal courts while also counseling clients on a broad range of federal, state, and local employment law issues. This position offers the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility across both litigation and employment counseling matters in a collaborative law firm environment.

Responsibilities:
· Manage employment litigation matters in Illinois state and federal courts
· Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal documents
· Counsel clients regarding compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
· Draft and review employment agreements, workplace policies, and employee handbooks
· Assist with investigations into employment-related disputes
· Manage and coordinate matters from inception through resolution
· Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties throughout the litigation process

Required Qualifications:
· 3+ years of employment litigation experience
· Experience managing and coordinating matters in Illinois state and federal courts, and assisting with employment-related investigations
· Experience counseling clients on federal, state, and local employment law compliance
· Experience drafting employment agreements, workplace policies, and employee handbooks

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary for this position starts at $260,000.
