About the Position:
Our client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a litigator to join its Downtown Los Angeles office as a mid-level associate. This practice represents some of the most significant names in media and entertainment, including studios, streamers, production companies, technology companies, and news organizations. The position requires prior litigation experience in a law firm environment and experience in the media and entertainment space is not required.

Responsibilities:
· Manage litigation cases and carry out legal research in support of client matters
· Defend copyright, trademark, idea-submission, and other claims against films, TV series, and other works
· Litigate defamation, right-of-publicity, and related claims in connection with the production and distribution of content, in state and federal court
· Prepare pleadings and contested motions, and take depositions
· Serve and respond to written discovery requests
· Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation

Required Qualifications:
· 3-5 years of complex litigation experience in a law firm environment
· Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills
· Interest in the media and entertainment space

Location:
Los Angeles – Downtown, CA (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $225,000 – $315,000.
