About the Position:
We are working with an established Chicago real estate development law firm that has an immediate need for a transactional lawyer (2+ years of experience) to join its highly-regarded affordable housing practice, handling all aspects of real estate development, ownership, financing, and investment on the local and national level.

Responsibilities:
· Provide counsel on a full range of affordable housing, multi-family housing, and community development projects, particularly with new markets tax credit (NMTC) financing and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) lending
· Draft and negotiate a wide range of equity and financing agreements
· Coordinate and oversee real estate components for debt and equity project financing transactions
· Advise on a broad range of real estate matters

Required Qualifications:
· 2-5 years of transactional experience in the legal industry
· Desire to gain expertise in the affordable housing and community development space
· Real estate transactional, lending, and/or structured finance experience strongly preferred
· Tax credit finance and/or CDFI lending experience is a strong plus
