We are working with a top Am Law 50 Firm that has an immediate need for a bankruptcy/restructuring attorney (2+ years of experience) to join its dynamic Chicago office as an associate. Responsibilities:
· Support clients in all facets of complex corporate restructuring transactions, including M&A, divestitures, and debt restructuring
· Work with partners to represent clients in negotiations, hearings and court proceedings related to business restructuring matters
· Conduct in-depth legal analyses to assess the legal implications of business restructuring
· Draft chapter 11 filings, term sheets and disclosure statements, plans of reorganization, settlements, and asset purchase agreements
· Stay abreast of changing regulations and legal developments related to business restructuring

Required Qualifications:
· 2 or more years of business restructuring experience, with a focus on corporate transactions and bankruptcy
· Knowledge of bankruptcy laws, creditor rights, and restructuring strategies
· Strong drafting and negotiating skills
· Top academic credentials
· U.S. Bankruptcy Court clerkship experience is a plus
· Large law firm experience is preferred

Location:

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $235,000 – $365,000.
