About the Position:
Our client, an established boutique law firm in Chicago, has an active need for a bankruptcy attorney (7+ yrs) to join as a senior associate or partner, depending on experience level. This practice represents clients locally and nationally in a range of bankruptcy and insolvency contexts and its attorneys have experience in all types of litigation, real estate and transactional matters involving financially distressed situations.

Responsibilities:
· Represent creditors in chapter 11 cases in courts across the United States
· Assist chapter 7 Trustees in all aspects of chapter 7 cases
· Represent lenders in restructurings, foreclosure actions, and UCC sales
· Represent purchasers of the assets of distressed businesses
· Defend avoidance actions
· Represent insurance companies in their capacity as the Debtors’ insurers

Required Qualifications:
· 7 or more years of bankruptcy experience, including chapter 11 and chapter 7 cases and out-of-court restructurings
· Experience representing clients in the healthcare and/or insurance industry with bankruptcy related matters preferred

Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $225,000 – $275,000 (additional formula contingent on portable book).
