About the Position:
We are working with a preeminent Am Law firm that has an immediate need for an attorney with business litigation experience (4-5 yrs) to join its Chicago office as an associate. Responsibilities:
· Represent clients in complex business litigation matters in state and federal courts
· Manage both written and document discovery, research and draft pleadings, motions and other court filings
· Conduct and defend depositions, prepare witnesses for testimony, appear for status conferences, and argue motions in both state and federal court
· Participate in settlement conferences and negotiations

Required Qualifications:
· 4-5 years of complex business litigation matters in state and federal courts
· Must have experience with conducting and managing written and document discovery, researching and drafting pleadings, motions and other court filings, conducting/defending depositions, preparing witnesses for testimony, appearing for status conferences, and arguing motions in both state and federal court
· Experience participating in settlement conferences/negotiations and trial preparation is preferred
· Strong writing skills
· Top academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $290,000 – $390,000.
