About the Position:
Our client, a sophisticated international law firm, has an active need for a class action lawyer (7+ yrs) with strong writing skills to join its Chicago office as a senior associate or counsel (title depending on level of experience). This position will be dedicated to brief writing and will support the firm’s national class actions practice which handles a range of employment matters, including employment litigation, counseling, investigations, and employment aspects of corporate transactions.

Responsibilities:
· Prepare substantive briefs and motions, including complex dispositive motions, oppositions to collective and class treatment, decertification motions, motions for summary judgment, motions to compel arbitration, appeals, and mediation statements
· Keep abreast of employment and class action law developments in multiple jurisdictions
Required Qualifications:
· 7+ years of substantial legal research and brief writing experience, preferably in class action matters
· Large law firm experience preferred
· Strong academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $300,000 – $355,000.
