About the Position:
Our client, a top mid-size Chicago law firm, has an active need for a junior-level litigator to join its leading litigation practice as an associate. This group represents clients across a broad range of industries in complex commercial litigation matters, including banking and finance, employment, product liability, and class action defense, in state and federal courts nationwide, including cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Responsibilities:
· Manage all phases of complex commercial litigation matters, from pre-suit investigations through trial and appeal.
· Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation-related filings.
· Conduct and defend depositions, manage discovery strategy, and oversee document review and production.
· Develop case strategy, analyze legal and factual issues, and provide practical counsel to clients regarding litigation risks and business objectives.
· Collaborate with partners and clients on case management, settlement negotiations, mediation, and trial preparation.

Required Qualifications:
· 1-3 years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm environment
· Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation-related filings
· Strong academic credentials, earned from a top law school
· Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $205,000 – $220,000.
