About the Position:
Our client, a Midwest-based national law firm, is actively seeking a commercial litigator to join its Chicago office as a mid-level associate. The person in this position will work primarily with attorneys in the firm’s Financial Services & Capital Markets group which is nationally recognized and handles complex deals for financial institutions, insurance companies, private equity groups, professional services firms, and private wealth managers across the country.

Responsibilities:
· Conduct factual investigations, discovery and preparation of pleadings
· Take depositions, argue motions and participate in mediations, administrative hearings and arbitrations

Required Qualifications:
· 3-5 years of experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation
· Second-chair experience at trial or arbitration is preferred
· Experience in state and federal court preferred
· Judicial clerkship experience with a federal court preferred, but not required
· Excellent academic credentials and strong writing and communication skills

Compensation:
The anticipated base compensation or this position is $230,000 – $250,000.
