About the Position:
We are working with a Midwest-based national law firm that has an immediate need for a commercial transactions attorney to join its business practice in Chicago as a mid-level associate. This is an unusual role, with the successful attorney working on a range of commercial transactions not necessarily affiliated with a merger. In particular, the attorney will be focused on a range of duties similar to serving as an outside general counsel, including manufacturing, marketing, supply chain, and procurement agreements. Responsibilities:
· Advise domestic U.S. and multinational companies on a wide range of complex commercial and outside general counsel matters
· Provide legal advisory and risk management support to clients
· Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements

Required Qualifications:
· 3 or more years of commercial contracts experience
· Experience advising clients on a range of strategic transactions and commercial matters
· Interest and/or experience in ecommerce, supply chain and logistics, software, and international investments
· Familiarity with various regulatory frameworks typically impacting commercial transactions
· A mix of in-house and large law firm experience is preferred
