Our client, a prominent international law firm, is actively seeking a lawyer with 3-4 years of construction law experience (construction transactional, with some construction litigation preferred) to join its real estate practice as in Chicago an associate. Responsibilities:
· Draft and negotiate design, construction, and development agreements across various industry sectors
· Draft and negotiate EPC contracts on large infrastructure and energy projects
· Advise clients regarding claims management, change orders, extra work claims, delay, and construction defect claims
· Collaborate with construction teams on litigation and arbitration matters, providing support in all aspects of disputes (including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, preparing and taking depositions, and handling mediations and arbitration hearings/trials)

Required Qualifications:
· 3-4 years of construction transactional law experience
· Experience drafting and negotiating construction, design, consulting and related contracts for commercial, energy, and large infrastructure projects, including EPC contracts
· Experience with construction litigation matters preferred
· Background at a large law firm or SEC experience

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $260,000 – $310,000.
