About the Position:
Our client, a leading Am Law firm, has an active need for a corporate lawyer to join its Chicago office as a mid-level associate. The person in this role will focus on representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies as well as other private companies in complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, cross-border transactions, and joint ventures. Responsibilities:
· Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including acquisition agreements, equity documents and ancillary documents
· Provide post-closing support for portfolio company matters, including add-on acquisitions, dispositions, financings and general corporate counseling
· Provide clients with day-to-day general corporate advice and counsel on business operations

Required Qualifications:
· 3-5 years of corporate M&A experience, with a focus on private equity transactions preferred
· Excellent academic credentials
· Strong drafting and negotiation skills

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $260,000 – $365,000.
