Our client, a global, Midwest-based law firm, is actively seeking a corporate lawyer to join its premier practice as an associate in Chicago. The corporate practice group at this firm works with foreign and domestic companies, ranging from investment banks and Fortune 100 companies to entrepreneurs, emerging growth, and small- and middle-market companies.

Responsibilities:
· Work on a range of corporate and transactional matters, including U.S. and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, for clients across various industries
· Advise public companies on a variety of issues, including securities compliance, governance practices, and regulatory matters

Required Qualifications:
· 4-6 years of corporate transactional experience, including M&A, venture financings, securities, corporate governance, and other general commercial transactions
· Early-stage financing experience is a plus
· Strong drafting skills

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $290,000 – $390,000.
