About the Position:
Our client, a strong and established Chicago law firm with a highly regarded corporate transactions practice, is actively seeking a corporate M&A attorney to join their firm as an associate. This practice represents business owners, investors, and organizations ranging from mid-sized, entrepreneur-operated companies to large global companies in corporate counseling, M&A, capital raising, business formation, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities:
· Manage private company M&A deals from initial strategy through closing, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents
· Advise clients on compliance, board governance, and organizational matters
· Work with private equity sponsors, portfolio companies and other corporate clients across a diverse range of industries

Required Qualifications:
· 3-5 years of corporate transactional experience, including M&A, private equity, and corporate governance
· Strong academic credentials and writing skills
· Familiarity with securities law and private equity matters is desirable

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $230,000 – $290,000.
