Our client, a sophisticated mid-size Chicago law firm, is actively seeking a corporate attorney with M&A and insurance industry experience to join its growing practice. The firm handles a broad range of M&A transactions for a diverse set of clients.

Responsibilities:
· Serve as outside corporate counsel to a client base spanning private equity sponsors, family-owned enterprises, entrepreneurial ventures, and mid-sized companies, guiding them through both deal work and ongoing governance needs
· Structure and negotiate a range of deal types, from straightforward buy/sell acquisitions to more specialized work like ESOP transactions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings
· Advise on private placement offerings, sophisticated commercial contract work, and day-to-day corporate advisory support

Required Qualifications:
· 3+ years of M&A experience in the insurance brokerage industry
· Working knowledge of capital raises, internal perpetuation deals, and related corporate matters involving insurance agencies and their owners
· Strong writing and communication skills

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $230,000+.
