About the Position:
Our client, an Am Law 100 Firm, has an active need for a corporate lawyer to join its Chicago office as a senior associate. The person in this position will focus on middle-market private equity and transactional work in a highly regarded practice that represents clients in a range of sophisticated domestic and international transactions and regularly works on multi-million- and billion-dollar deals.

Responsibilities:
· Manage M&A deals (sourcing, due diligence, negotiation, closing) on both sides
· Structure and execute private equity investments
· Handle transactions involving entity setup and governance
· Structuring financing/restructuring deals (debt and equity financing, modeling capital structures, negotiating loan agreements)
· Support investment fund lifecycles (including fundraising, investor relations, compliance)

Required Qualifications:
· 6-7 years of corporate transactional experience in a law firm environment
· Experience with M&A (buy-side and sell-side), middle-market private equity investments, entity formation and governance, financing and restructuring, and fund-related work

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $275,000 – $325,000.
