About the Position:
Our client, a highly-regarded global law firm, is seeking a creditors’ rights litigator to join its Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice in Chicago as an Associate. The team represents the nation’s largest CMBS special servicers and lenders, handling all aspects of defaulted CMBS deals, including workouts, foreclosures, receiverships and bankruptcies in office involving buildings, retail and lifestyle centers, hotels, multifamily projects, mixed-use projects, industrial projects and other asset classes.

Responsibilities:
· Handle out-of-court loan workouts including negotiating, structuring, drafting, and closing forbearance agreements
· Represent secured lenders and other financial market participants in disputes
· Handle motions and discovery (including e-discovery)

Required Qualifications:
· 3-6 years of experience handling all aspects of commercial foreclosures, loan enforcement, receiverships, collection work, and commercial real estate litigation
· Experience with commercial landlord-tenant litigation is preferred

Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $260,000 – $350,000.
