About the Position:
Our client, a global law firm, is seeking an attorney for its Privacy and Cyber practice group to join as an associate in its Chicago office. The firm helps clients of all industries with forensic investigations, coordinating communications, and complying with the state, federal, and international directives associated with data governance and personal information.

Responsibilities:
· Build out incident response plans and workflows designed to minimize the fallout from a security incident
· Identify and remediate shortcomings in cybersecurity and privacy practices of firm clients.
· Manage every stage of incident response, including the regulatory scrutiny and litigation that often follows

Required Qualifications:
· 4-6 years of experience with navigating the privacy incident response, including in an advisory and compliance capacity
· Strong academic credentials and analytical skills
· Admitted to the bar in the State of Illinois
· Certification in privacy matters is ideal, as well as specialized industry experience

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $295,000 – $350,000.
