About the Position:
We are working with a Midwest-based national law firm that has an active need for an attorney focusing on data privacy and technology matters to join their Chicago office as an associate. The firm handles a full range of data privacy and security matters for clients in a variety of industries, with a focus on the healthcare, manufacturing, higher education, and hospitality industries.

Responsibilities:
· Guide clients through data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI governance compliance obligations across jurisdictions, while helping build out their broader privacy and data management programs
· Handle the full lifecycle of technology and commercial agreements (SaaS, licensing, outsourcing, NDAs, and data processing terms) along with IP licensing and protection strategy
· Support clients through data incidents (investigation, notification, reporting) and represent them in regulatory inquiries or enforcement matters
· Partner with corporate, IP, and litigation colleagues on cross-practice matters
Required Qualifications:
· 4-7 years of experience working on technology and data privacy matters, including related agreements and counseling on privacy compliance
· Solid drafting, analytical, and communication abilities
· A certification in privacy is preferred, as well as some experience supervising or mentoring junior attorneys

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary for this position is $175,000 – $280,000.
