Our client, a top global law firm, is seeking an economic development attorney to join its Chicago office as an associate. The firm advises national and international companies on the expansion of company offices, manufacturing sites, and data centers, and secures negotiated economic development incentives.

Responsibilities:
· Conducts in-depth legal research and analysis to support case and transaction strategy, and drafts clear, well-reasoned legal documents including briefs, motions, contracts, and correspondence
· Manages complex matters from start to finish, including trial prep, negotiations, settlements, and closings
· Builds and maintains strong client relationships through responsive, professional communication, while collaborating with colleagues to shape effective case and transaction strategies
· Participates in key legal proceedings such as hearings, depositions, and negotiations, and stays current on legal and regulatory developments to ensure compliance
Required Qualifications:
· 6+ years of experience advising companies on expanding or relocating to the US
· Demonstrated experience working with global clients and exercising good business judgment
· Excellent academic credentials and writing skills

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $390,000 – $435,000.
