About the Position:
Our client, an international Am Law 50 firm renowned for its market-leading work with tech and start-up clients, is actively seeking a startups and emerging growth attorney to join its growing national team as an associate in Chicago. This practice group advises some of the most prominent high-growth companies and their investors and works across many areas, including sports tech, clean tech, and clean energy, among others.

Responsibilities:
· Represent emerging and venture-backed companies, as well as venture capital firms and other institutional investors, through all stages of their life cycle
· Counsel clients on venture capital financings and liquidity events
· Handle a variety of general corporate and transactional matters, including corporate governance, fund formation, public company offerings, SEC reporting/compliance, and M&A

Required Qualifications:
· 4-6 years of substantial experience working with early-stage and growth-stage companies
· Strong academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $310,000 – $390,000.
