About the Position:
Our client, a global Am Law 50 firm, has an active need for a corporate lawyer with strong venture capital/emerging growth experience to join its Chicago office as a mid/senior level associate. This firm’s robust Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice represents more than 100 venture capital and private equity firms and advises on hundreds of transactions annually.

Responsibilities:
· Advise clients on a range of transactions and general corporate matters, including venture capital raising, (from seed stage through late-growth equity), corporate governance matters, day-to-day corporate advice, early-stage formation and strategy, and M&A
· Assist clients, including sponsors and venture-backed companies, with IPOs and liquidity events
· Manage due diligence on M&A transactions and venture capital transactions/financings

Qualifications:
· 4-6 years of venture capital and emerging company representation experience
· Mergers and acquisitions experience
· Experience working with clients in the technology industry

Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $265,000 – $390,000.
