About the Position:
We are working with an established Chicago law firm that has an active need for an employment lawyer to join as a mid-level associate in the firm’s premier practice. This firm has a deep bench of talent in a wide range of practice areas. This is not a litigation-focused role, so the ideal candidate should have a preference for handling the counseling and advisory side of employment law.

Responsibilities:
· Draft employment agreements and other employment documents
· Counsel employers on issues relating to compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
· Advise and counsel clients on employment issues related to M&A deals
Required Qualifications:
· 3-5 years of significant experience counseling employers federal, state, and local employment law compliance, and drafting employment documents
· Experience litigating discrimination, wage and hour, restrictive covenant, and other employment-related claims
· Experience with traditional labor and/or employment aspects of corporate transactions is a plus

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $210,000 – $250,000.
