About the Position:
Our client, a top Am Law 50 firm with a large and established Chicago office, is actively seeking an attorney with employment counseling experience (international employment counseling strongly preferred) to join as an associate in Chicago. The person in this role will support cross-border and global employment work, and provide advice and counsel to clients, ranging from emerging growth to Fortune 500 companies, in all aspects of employment law.

Responsibilities:
· Handle employment-related due diligence and guide clients on the workforce implications of corporate deals
· Counsel clients on workplace policies and procedures, including layoffs and other employee separations
· Prepare and negotiate employment, retention, and similar contracts, along with restrictive covenants
Required Qualifications:
· 3+ years of employment counseling experience
· International counseling experience is strongly preferred for candidates with 3-4 years of experience and is required for candidates with more than 5 years of experience
· Large law firm experience (Am Law 100 preferred)
· Excellent academic credentials and writing skills

Compensation:
The anticipated base compensation for this position is $260,000 – $420,000.
