About the Position:
We are working with an established midsize Chicago law firm that has an immediate need for an employment attorney (10+ yrs of experience) to join as a partner in the firm’s premier practice. This practice group advises employers on a variety of employment-related matters, including federal, state and local legal compliance, litigation and employment contracts, and executive compensation and benefits and corporate transactions. The firm has a deep bench of talent in a wide range of practice areas, while boasting rates that are highly competitive in the Chicago market.

Responsibilities:
· Draft employment agreements and other employment documents
· Counsel employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws
· Advise and counsel clients on employment issues related to M&A deals
Required Qualifications:
· 10 or more years of employment experience including advising on employment aspects of corporate M&A transactions
· Experience with traditional labor and/or executive compensation is a plus
· Some portable business is preferred ($500k+)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $300,000 – $400,000.
