About the Position:
Our client, a long-standing staple of the Chicago legal market, has an immediate need for an employment litigation/HR lawyer with 4+ years of experience to join its Human Resources & Employment Law Practice in Chicago as a mid-senior level associate. At this firm, associates get incredible hands-on experience at a high level and are an integral part of the client service process.

· Handle all aspects of employment litigation (trial preparation, researching and writing legal memoranda, drafting complaints, motions and written discovery, taking depositions)
· Counsel employers on a variety of HR topics, including accommodations for disabled or pregnant employees, FMLA, legal issues involving potential employment terminations, investigating harassment complaints, and wage & hour law
· Draft, review and edit employee handbooks and other employment policies
· Negotiate and draft employment agreements and restrictive covenant agreements

Required Qualifications:
· Strong employment litigation skills
· Experience with HR counseling and policy review
· Experience assisting employers with training their workforces on harassment prevention, disabled employee accommodations, leadership/supervisory skills, and risk management
