About the Position:
Our client, a top international law firm, has an active need for energy attorneys to join its Chicago office as associates. The attorneys in this nationally-ranked practice have led the negotiation and documentation of many multibillion-dollar projects and have earned a reputation in the industry as strong advocates and go-to energy project managers.

Responsibilities:
· Represent some of the largest and most innovative energy industry players with their most important energy related legal matters
· Assist sponsors and financing parties with the development, acquisition and financing of renewable energy projects
· Draft and negotiate term sheets, equity capital contribution agreements, partnership agreements, lease documents, related guarantees, estoppels, and other ancillary equity documents

Required Qualifications:
· 3-5 years of experience in the renewable energy industry at a large law firm or a comparable in-house counsel position
· Experience with commercial lending, debt or equity project financing, leasing, tax credits, due diligence for complex transactions, project development, and construction and operations contracts
· Familiarity with project development and project operation contracts
· Strong academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $260,000 – $365,000.
