About the Position:
Our client, an established Chicago boutique law firm, has a new and active need for an energy/real estate lawyer (6+ yrs) to join as a senior associate or partner, depending on level of experience. The person in this position will work across both the Energy and Real Estate practices at the firm, representing a sophisticated client base in the alternative/renewable energy space.

Responsibilities:
· Represent clients with project development, real estate and leasing matters, development, acquisitions, and sales related to energy projects

Required Qualifications:
· 6 or more years of experience with energy projects, including utility-scale and distributed solar, wind, storage, or transmission
· Strong knowledge of the legal complexities involved in land acquisition, permitting, and development within the energy sector
· Experience in commercial real estate, with a focus on purchase/sale transactions and leasing, preferred

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $215,000 – $245,000.
