About the Position:
Our client, a national law firm based in the Midwest, has an active need for an energy regulatory lawyer (4+ yrs) to join its Chicago office as an associate. This practice provides full-service legal representation to a broad range of energy providers, utilities, independent power producers, developers, regional entities, and other energy-sector participants across the electric, natural gas, and telecommunications industries.

Responsibilities:
· Advise private entities, public agencies, and individuals on legal and practical issues relating to energy and utility matters
· Assist clients with obtaining the necessary authorizations and permits to construct electric and natural gas infrastructure
· Handle energy regulatory matters before state and federal regulatory authorities
Required Qualifications:
· 4+ years of energy law experience
· Experience with state regulatory work in the electricity, natural gas, and other utility sectors before state regulatory/utility/public service commissions

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $202,500 – $247,500.
