About the Position:
Our client, a large global law firm with midwestern roots, is actively seeking an energy transactions attorney to join its Chicago office as an associate. This highly-regarded practice assists clients with everything from oil and gas projects to renewable and nuclear energy, energy trading securities and derivatives, water and sewage, mining, and energy storage.

Responsibilities:
· Manage complex energy and natural resources transactions (M&A, project development commercial agreements, etc.)
· Handle transactional work related to renewable energy, including M&A, joint ventures, build-transfer agreements, commercial agreements, construction contracts, and contracts involving procurement for equipment and materials

Required Qualifications:
· 3-7 years of experience managing complex energy transactional work, including renewable energy, at a large law firm
· Background handling financing transactions in the energy/natural resources sector is a plus
· Oil and gas experience is plus

Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $215,000 – $290,000.
